Hey there

Hey there

Postby mealchan » Wed Mar 07, 2012 10:32 am

I'm Amelia. My favorite anime is Sailor Moon, and I also like a number of 90s-early 2000s animes that many people barely know of. I haven't watched a whole lot of new anime in recent years, but Netflix is slowly fixing that. I'm a stay at home mom and I've lived in Berkshire County for a little over a year now. Oh, and I'm also one of BAM Con's organizers. :D

Hi Amelia!!!

You can call me Gale. By the time BAM-con rolls around I'll be 25 and I'm from southeastern New England, but I went to High School in northwestern MA! I've been cosplaying and attending conventions since 2003 (OMG, my 10 year cosplay anniversary is this summer!) and have met a bunch of amazing people through it all.

Last fall I started an "advice" blog called EffectiveCos. It's actually a spin-off to a creation of mine I like to call The Cosplay Safety Project, which consists of my collecting all sorts of information on how to stay safe while making costumes and wearing them around conventions. I've got a facebook fan page for it, but until I find a graphic designer to help me out I don't feel I can do that much publicity ^_^; For the moment I'm focusing on the two panels I'm creating with the Project (Part 1: Costume Construction, and Part 2: Attending Conventions) that I hope to run at BAM-con, if they're accepted.

I also work as a contributing writer and occasional presenter for AnimeCons.com and AnimeCons TV and am on the guest relations staff at ConnectiCon in Hartford, CT.

I'm especially looking forward to BAM-con so that I can meet in person Droo Fatagrafa, creator of Love Cosplay Magazine for which I am a contributing writer.

Hello, my name is Crystal and I have been going to conventions since 2001, yikes! I love to cosplay and I am also a planner for this convention. I am an avid anime collector and I like to keep rather current on my anime but I love older shows as well. My favorite animes include Neon Genesis Evangelion and Gurren Lagann as well as Hell Girl and more recently Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt.

Cool! I started going to anime conventions in 2003 as well. I think my first one was Anime Boston and then Connecticon followed, along with Sakuracon in Seattle when I lived up there.

Haha, I wanted to go to AB that year but it was on Easter and I was still under 18 and therefore I couldn't convince my parents to take me, especially since I had no history attending any sort of event. Now that I'm an adult, can drive myself, AND have a history going to cons that's not a problem anymore tho XD

Hi! I'm Patrick Delahanty and I'm perhaps best known as the founder of AnimeCons.com, the largest source for anime convention information. I'm also the creator and host of The Chibi Project where we conduct experiments on anime toys.

I'm a big fan of conventions and have attended over 100 of them. I'm one of the founders of both Anime Boston and Providence Anime Conference. I've hosted the popular improv event, Anime Unscripted, more than 30 times at 11 different conventions in two countries and four time zones...and it will be at BAM-Con too!

In addition to being a con whore, I'm also the voice of the fighter pilots in the award-winning game Escape Velocity and its sequel, EV: Override.

You should follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/PDelahanty .

Hi! I'm Emily. I'm a teenager and BAMcon will be my first con. I'm very excited! I am planning on cosplaying as a female version of Italy from hetalia and entering the costume contest with a couple of my friends. Again, I am very excited!
